We’re an entertainment company behind the world’s leading interactive app for kids aged 2–8, designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and joy every single day.

Enjoyed by over 20 million families each month, it offers more than 4000 interactive games, songs, and shows loved by kids and trusted by grown-ups around the world. More than 200 million downloads worldwide and over 50 awards have established Lingokids as the standard for kids entertainment.

As a Senior Technical Level Designer, you'll join Level Design team, building engaging games and interactive experiences that delight children and resonate with parents across markets and languages; championing fun, intuitive play while pushing the boundaries of educational entertainment.

If you want to be part of a team that's redefining the future of education, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do

  • Own Technical Design Projects across departments, maintaining and building processes that ensure we can keep growing and scaling our catalog while serving the overall Level Design team’s needs.

  • Work alongside Engineering to help building the frameworks for new experiences looking to balance technical resilience, scalability and designer usability.

  • Develop and maintain in-depth technical design documentation, and communicate technical requirements for assets across teams.

  • Ensure technical optimization of games and promote quality standards and best practices for asset implementation within the team.

  • Design and produce layouts, levels, parameters, and features for our games inside the Unity Editor, following set guidelines.

  • Mentor, inspire, and support a team of junior and mid-level designers in their day-to-day work and professional growth.

  • Collaborate with Production to plan game releases aligned with company goals.

  • Lead level design efforts within the app localization project, ensuring games and interactive experiences work seamlessly across markets, languages, and cultural contexts.

  • Drive retention and engagement by collecting qualitative feedback from user tests with kids (ages 2–8) and quantitative data from metrics, then translating insights into design decisions.

  • Assist in prototyping simple game experiences using internal tools.

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years as a Level Designer or Technical Game Designer, ideally in mobile or educational gaming.

  • Proven experience designing and shipping games or interactive experiences in Unity.

  • Proficiency in Unity Editor for level design, feature configuration, and game parameters.

  • Strong understanding of technical optimization practices in Unity.

  • Experience writing and maintaining in-depth design documentation and specifications.

  • Solid grasp of interaction design, game mechanics, player motivation, and level design principles.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across disciplines (production, UX, art, engineering).

  • High-quality standards and attention to detail in gameplay polish.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with children's digital content or products for young audiences (2–8 years old).

  • Familiarity with scripting logic or visual scripting tools.

English is a must: We’re a multicultural team providing a service in English, so while certifications aren’t necessary, fluency is essential. As a fully remote company, clear and effective spoken and written communication—especially in asynchronous, long-form formats—is key to collaborating successfully.
