Job description

Description

Dragonfli Group is a cybersecurity and IT consulting firm providing services to federal agencies and Fortune 100 enterprises. Headquartered in Washington, DC, Dragonfli supports clients in securing mission-critical systems across on-site, hybrid, and fully remote environments.

Dragonfli is seeking a tenured Enterprise / Solution Architect to support an ERP-enabled transformation program for a large commercial enterprise in the management consulting industry. In this role, you will lead current-state architecture assessments, define target-state application, data, and integration blueprints around a large ERP rollout, and translate business priorities into practical, implementation-ready architecture roadmaps and decisions.

You'll work directly with business leaders, ERP specialists, program teams, and technical teams to make sure the ERP platform lands cleanly inside the broader technology landscape — not just the ERP configuration itself, but everything around it: legacy systems, integrations, data flows, and infrastructure. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role: you should be senior enough to independently lead architecture discussions and advise client stakeholders, while also being comfortable personally producing the underlying analysis and artifacts. We're looking for architects with broad enterprise and solution architecture experience of approximately 8 or more years.

This is a contract position involving a large commercial enterprise in the management consulting industry. Candidates with previous consulting or contracting experience are preferred. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required. If hired, all work related to this role must be performed within the continental U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead current-state architecture assessments ahead of ERP implementation, mapping existing applications, data, integrations, and infrastructure
  • Define target-state enterprise and solution architecture for the ERP-enabled transformation, including how the ERP platform connects to surrounding systems
  • Translate business and program requirements into architecture principles, roadmaps, and implementation-ready recommendations for the ERP program
  • Develop application and integration blueprints, dependency views, system inventories, and architecture decision documentation
  • Coordinate across business leaders, program teams, functional SMEs, ERP specialists, and technical teams to align on architecture decisions
  • Facilitate client discussions and communicate architecture strategy clearly to both executive and technical audiences
  • Personally produce architecture diagrams, analysis, and documentation as a hands-on individual contributor
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information and evolving priorities

Requirements

Must-Have

  • 8+ years of enterprise and/or solution architecture experience
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation readiness, current-state assessment, or ERP-enabled transformation programs
  • Demonstrated experience spanning business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture — breadth over deep single-platform specialization
  • Experience developing current-state assessments and target-state architecture roadmaps
  • Strong stakeholder facilitation and communication skills across executive and technical audiences
  • Comfortable working as a hands-on individual contributor, personally producing architecture artifacts rather than directing a team
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency; ability to perform all work within the continental United States
  • Immediate or near-immediate availability

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience at, or supporting, a Big 4 or large consulting-led transformation environment
  • Exposure to major ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) at an architecture level
  • Experience with ERP data migration and integration patterns
  • Enterprise architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF) or equivalent framework experience
  • Experience producing architecture artifacts with standard EA tooling (e.g., ArchiMate, LeanIX, Ardoq, Visio)
