About the Role

At Pavago, we are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Shopify Web Developer / Store Builder to build, customize, and maintain premium Shopify storefronts for B2B clients while leading the complete redesign of the company's primary website.

This is a hands-on development role focused on creating high-performing, visually polished, and conversion-optimized Shopify stores. The ideal candidate has strong Shopify development expertise, excellent front-end development skills, and a keen understanding of eCommerce user experience and brand presentation.

Responsibilities

Shopify Store Development

• Build custom Shopify storefronts from scratch using client branding and design assets.
• Customize Shopify themes to create premium, conversion-focused online stores.
• Configure product catalogs, collections, inventory, and store settings.
• Ensure all storefronts are responsive, fast-loading, and optimized for mobile devices.

Website Redesign & Optimization

• Lead the complete redesign and rebrand of the company's primary Shopify website.
• Improve user experience, site navigation, and overall conversion performance.
• Implement modern design standards while maintaining brand consistency.
• Optimize website speed, usability, and accessibility across all devices.

Theme Customization & Development

• Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement advanced store functionality through custom development where needed.
• Configure access controls, gated collections, gift codes, and purchase restrictions using Shopify apps or custom logic.
• Integrate third-party Shopify applications to extend store functionality.

Collaboration & Project Management

• Collaborate with designers to translate Figma designs into fully functional Shopify stores.
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver projects within agreed timelines.
• Manage multiple Shopify builds simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
• Communicate project progress and blockers through Slack and other collaboration tools.

Required Experience & Skills

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
• Advanced front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience building custom Shopify themes or performing extensive theme customization.
• Proven experience leading complete website redesigns or rebranding projects.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce UX, CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization), and responsive design principles.
• Experience managing product catalogs, collections, inventory, and store configurations.
• Portfolio showcasing modern, high-quality Shopify storefronts.
• Experience working with Slack, Google Workspace, and asynchronous communication.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Shopify Plus, including Checkout Extensibility and Scripts.
• Experience using Shopify apps such as Locksmith, Bold Custom Pricing, gifting, loyalty, or fulfillment solutions.
• Ability to translate Figma designs into fully functional Shopify websites.
• Strong understanding of branding, visual hierarchy, and modern UI/UX design.
• Experience building B2B eCommerce, corporate gifting, or branded merchandise stores.

Typical Day

• Building and customizing Shopify storefronts for multiple clients.
• Developing and optimizing Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborating with designers to implement new layouts and features.
• Configuring products, collections, and third-party Shopify applications.
• Improving website performance, responsiveness, and conversion rates.
• Providing project updates and collaborating with the team through Slack.
