About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Senior Accountant – NetSuite Pro to own day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, including real estate development projects, operating companies, and personal investment structures.

This is a high-trust, execution-heavy accounting role for someone who is deeply hands-on with NetSuite and can independently maintain clean books, complete reconciliations, execute close cycles, and produce reliable financial reporting.

You’ll work closely with leadership, the VP of Asset Management, a Fractional CFO, and external accounting partners to maintain financial accuracy across a complex multi-entity environment.

This is not a supervisory or theory-focused role. You’ll be expected to do the accounting work directly, accurately, and consistently with minimal hand-holding.

What You’ll Own

Core Accounting & Close Execution

• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger records
• Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries
• Own month-end and year-end close processes
• Generate and review:
• Balance sheets
• Income statements
• Entity-level P&Ls
• Supporting financial schedules
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly
• Ensure financial records remain complete, accurate, and current

Multi-Entity Accounting

• Manage accounting across multiple legal entities and financial structures
• Support:
• Development projects
• Operating companies
• Personal investment structures and assets
• Maintain proper separation and alignment between company and personal financial activity
• Ensure transactions are recorded within the correct entities
• Support accounting setup and execution for future ventures and entities as the portfolio expands

Real Estate & Project-Level Accounting

• Track expenses across individual real estate development projects
• Maintain property-level P&Ls for each development
• Ensure project costs are properly categorized and reconciled
• Maintain clear financial visibility across projects and entities
• Support financial reporting related to new real estate developments and investments

NetSuite – Critical

• Work hands-on in NetSuite every day
• Manage transaction entry, imports, reconciliations, and financial data
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity within NetSuite
• Troubleshoot discrepancies and data issues
• Ensure disciplined and consistent system usage
• Maintain clean financial records that leadership and external accounting partners can rely on

This role requires genuine hands-on NetSuite experience. General ERP familiarity without substantial day-to-day NetSuite usage will not be sufficient.

Compliance, Controls & External Accounting

• Maintain accounting practices aligned with GAAP and internal controls
• Prepare supporting documentation for tax and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with external accounting partners, including Baker Tilly
• Support quarterly tax calls and financial reviews
• Assist with cost segregation and related accounting requirements
• Prepare accurate documentation for tax filings and external review
• Respond to accounting requests with organized supporting information

Financial Reporting & Leadership Support

• Support the VP of Asset Management and Fractional CFO
• Prepare accurate financial data and reporting for leadership
• Provide clear explanations for account activity and discrepancies
• Ensure decision-makers have reliable financial information
• Maintain transparency across financial records and reporting

Systems & Data Management

• Maintain accurate financial workflows across:
• NetSuite
• AppFolio
• Excel
• Gmail
• ClickUp
• Work with AppFolio across investor and property management functions as needed
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and supporting records
• Ensure financial information remains consistent across systems

Must-Have Experience & Skills

• Strong, hands-on NetSuite accounting experience
• Experience using NetSuite for:
• General ledger activity
• Imports
• Journal entries
• Reconciliations
• Financial reporting
• Close processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working with large financial datasets and complex reconciliations
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
• Proven experience preparing:
• Balance sheets
• Income statements
• P&Ls
• Account reconciliations
• Experience with month-end and year-end close
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Exceptional attention to detail and financial accuracy
• Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision
• Comfortable taking direct ownership and accountability for financial work
• Availability during U.S. business hours

• Experience with multi-entity accounting
• Real estate development or property accounting experience

From there, you might process journal entries, import financial data, update property-level P&Ls, prepare month-end schedules, work through requests from the Fractional CFO, or gather documentation for an external accounting review.

Throughout the day, you’ll ensure every entity’s books remain accurate, reconciled, and ready for reliable reporting.

In short: you own the accounting execution that keeps a complex multi-entity financial environment clean and trustworthy.
