Job description

This is a remote position.

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team and support the accounting operations of multiple group companies. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can manage the full accounting cycle, ensure compliance with Georgian tax regulations, and contribute to improving financial processes and reporting across the organization.


Your Duties:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the full accounting cycle for multiple group entities.
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring proper documentation of financial transactions.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations and statutory reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with Georgian tax legislation and accounting standards.
  • Performing reconciliations of bank accounts, receivables, payables, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitoring tax liabilities, payment deadlines, and statutory obligations.
  • Supporting payroll accounting and related tax reporting.
  • Managing intercompany accounting and reconciling balances between group entities.
  • Supporting external audits, tax inspections, and communication with regulatory authorities.
  • Improving internal accounting controls, reporting procedures, and documentation processes.
  • Supporting the implementation and effective use of accounting software, including Zoho Books.
  • Providing management with timely financial reports and accounting guidance.


Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Georgian tax legislation and accounting practices.
  • Experience managing the full accounting cycle independently.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities or business lines.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret financial and management reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple reporting and tax deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Zoho Books.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity reporting.
  • Experience improving accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Professional accounting qualification or certification.
  • Experience working with international or cross-border businesses.
