Data Scientist (AI/ML) | About You

As a Data Scientist (AI/ML), you will join our AI & Analytics team and help build intelligent, data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges. This role is ideal for a hands-on practitioner with expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and emerging Generative AI technologies who can transform data into actionable insights and production-ready solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Teams, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative AI solutions, particularly within Retail and FMCG environments.

Data Scientist (AI/ML) | Day-to-Day

  • Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems and generate measurable impact.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets using Python, SQL, Pandas, and NumPy to uncover insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Apply statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and time-series forecasting techniques to business and operational challenges.
  • Design and implement AI and Generative AI solutions using transformer-based models, prompt engineering techniques, and leading LLM platforms.
  • Collaborate with ML Engineers and product teams to transition models from experimentation to production environments.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate approaches by balancing traditional machine learning techniques with GenAI capabilities.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines, model workflows, and analytics solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
  • Translate business requirements into practical AI, machine learning, and analytics solutions, particularly within Retail and FMCG use cases.

Data Scientist (AI/ML) | Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied AI, or related analytical roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, SQL, and data analysis best practices.
  • Hands-on experience building, validating, and deploying machine learning models using frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, predictive analytics, and time-series modeling.
  • Experience working with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and integration with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source models.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-structured code and apply software engineering best practices within data science projects.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and experience working with large datasets to solve real-world business challenges.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
