Principal Analyst – Space Planning & Planogram | About You

As a Principal Analyst – Space Planning & Planogram, you will drive retail space planning excellence through the development, optimization, and governance of planograms across multiple markets. This role serves as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, ensuring merchandising layouts are aligned with market requirements, space optimization strategies, and performance objectives. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in space planning tools, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, data-driven retail execution solutions that enhance operational efficiency and in-store performance.

Principal Analyst – Space Planning & Planogram | Day-to-Day

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver market-specific planograms utilizing store clustering, space allocation strategies, and approved merchandising standards.
  • Collaborate with market and retail teams to ensure planogram execution aligns with business objectives, operational requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze retail space utilization and merchandising effectiveness, identifying opportunities to improve store productivity, customer experience, and sales performance.
  • Lead multiple space planning and optimization initiatives simultaneously, ensuring project milestones, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Act as a strategic partner to regional stakeholders by driving planogram consistency, governance, and best practices across markets.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies, standardizing workflows, and implementing scalable retail planning methodologies.

Principal Analyst – Space Planning & Planogram | Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Retail Space Planning, Category Planning, or Planogram Development within a retail or consumer products environment.
  • Hands-on expertise with industry-standard space planning tools such as JDA (Blue Yonder), Spaceman, Hoffrogge, or equivalent planogram software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to perform data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
