General Summary:

The Clinical Business System Senior Analyst II provides technical support to functions across Global Clinical Operations (GCO), managing multiple large-scale process and technology initiatives in support of departmental goals. Works closely with senior-leadership, program and trial leaders and other business units within the Global Medicines Development and Affairs (GMDA) group to understand their operational obstacles and needs and work with Data Engineering & Technology (DTE) teams to provide appropriate technical solutions to meet these.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a project manager or technical lead for small to large-scale process and technology initiatives related to operational reporting and analytics

  • Works with various stakeholders and DTE counterparts to perform appropriate business requirements gathering activities

  • Collects, analyzes, and integrates internal and external benchmarking data in support of short and long range planning activities for clinical programs

  • Facilitates information sharing between study teams and various stakeholders by enhancing the visibility of study/program status and progress

  • Streamlines overall study/program management activities by ensuring underlying processes and workflows adequately support data reporting needs

  • Undertakes development efforts in the area of departmental or organizational analytics beyond program activities (E.g Workforce Planning, FTE planning/forecasting and reporting)

  • May supervise other clinical or technical staff or teams

  • Uses appropriate tools and methods to monitor progress on all initiatives, including the usage of software (i.e. Excel, Access) and the generation of metrics

  • Works with appropriate stakeholders to develop initiative charters, documenting objectives, scope, stakeholders, and approximate timing

  • Facilitates deliverables, according to the following criteria:

  • Focuses equally on results (high-quality, timeline deliverables that meet objectives); process (use of logical and efficient process for achieving results); and relationships (engendering trust and goodwill among team members)

  • Uses meetings effectively to facilitate decisions, according to good meeting management practices

  • Tracks progress against timeline, resource, and quality objectives

  • Reports progress, status, risks, timelines, and needs to stakeholders

  • Advocates for solutions that support corporate and departmental goals

  • Ensures that the project meets stated timelines, or negotiates changes with appropriate lead time

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills required

  • Strong verbal/written communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills

  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and technical understanding of data migration and data aggregation concepts

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; expertise with Excel

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires 3-5 years of technical experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Typically requires 2-4 years understanding of clinical trial-related business operations

  • Bachelors degree in a scientific or allied health field (or equivalent degree)

Pay Range:

$120,800 - $181,200

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this Remote-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
1.    Remote: work remotely five days per week and come into the office on occasion – you’re always welcome on-site; or select 
2.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
3.    On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
