Job description

This is a remote position.

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Epic Interface Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team. This full-time, direct-hire opportunity is designed for an Epic interoperability expert who is passionate about supporting strategic integration initiatives across our healthcare client portfolio.

As a member of our Managed Services team, you will partner with leading healthcare organizations to support Community Connect deployments, implementations, system optimization, upgrades, interface development, and ongoing integration support. You'll enjoy the stability of a full-time position while working on a variety of meaningful client engagements, building long-term client relationships, expanding your Epic expertise, and making a lasting impact on healthcare organizations nationwide.

This is a primarily remote opportunity with occasional travel required for key meetings, project milestones, and go-live activities. Initial client engagement requires availability during Pacific Time business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, configure, test, and maintain Epic Bridges interfaces.
  • Develop and support HL7 interfaces including ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT, MDM, and other healthcare messaging standards.
  • Configure and support interface engines such as Cloverleaf, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Corepoint, or similar integration platforms.
  • Monitor interface performance and proactively troubleshoot message failures, queue issues, and data discrepancies.
  • Perform interface testing, validation, integrated testing, and production deployments.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into interface specifications.
  • Collaborate with Epic application analysts, infrastructure teams, vendors, and third-party system owners on integration projects.
  • Support Epic upgrades, new implementations, optimization efforts, and go-live activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues while maintaining SLA commitments.
  • Develop and maintain interface documentation, technical specifications, workflow diagrams, and support procedures.
  • Participate in change management, release management, and after-hours support as needed.
  • Ensure integrations comply with organizational security, privacy, and interoperability standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of healthcare interface development experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Epic Bridges experience.
  • Epic Bridges Certification
  • Strong experience developing and supporting HL7 v2 interfaces.
  • Experience with one or more interface engines (Cloverleaf, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Corepoint, etc.).
  • Experience troubleshooting interface failures, message transformations, acknowledgements, and connectivity issues.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, web services, APIs, and integration architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FHIR APIs and RESTful integrations.
  • Knowledge of X12 transactions and healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Experience integrating laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, revenue cycle, PACS, and ancillary systems.
  • SQL experience for interface troubleshooting and validation.
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations, Community Connect, or managed services environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and release management.


Benefits

Salary based on qualifications and experience $110,000 - $150,000
