Job description

We are seeking a hands-on SQL Developer with strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server to support critical data operations and deliver high-quality data solutions under strict timelines.

This role is focused on data troubleshooting, optimization, and development of efficient SQL solutions within a fast-paced environment, working closely with cross-functional teams.

This position requires working U.S. East Coast hours (or closely aligned schedule) on a regular basis.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions in Microsoft SQL Server

  • Analyze and optimize SQL performance using query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis

  • Investigate and resolve data issues and discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and integrity across systems

  • Support and enhance data pipelines and ETL processes (data ingestion, transformation, and loading)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, product, engineering) to understand requirements and deliver solutions

  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely, high-quality fixes under SLA-driven deadlines

  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and best practices across data workflows

  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team

What We Look For

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SQL development

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (development-focused, not administration)

  • Proven experience writing complex queries, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions

  • Solid understanding of performance tuning and query optimization

  • Experience working with data pipelines / ETL processes (e.g., SSIS or similar tools)

  • Strong understanding of database design principles (normalization, indexing, etc.)

  • Experience troubleshooting data issues in production environments

  • Ability to explain technical decisions and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced English proficiency required, with the ability to collaborate with Global-based teams and stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data-intensive or SLA-driven environments

  • Exposure to data warehousing concepts

  • Basic knowledge of Python or scripting languages

  • Experience in healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments
