VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.
We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.
Annual Salary Range: Up to $130,000

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our dynamic Technology Operations team. About the Opportunity
The EPMO team provides support to the entirety of VicRoads’ investment portfolio and helps facilitate the oversight and governance activities required at a portfolio level to achieve its strategic objectives. The team supports the following functions: o Portfolio Governance and Control o Portfolio Planning o Project Financial Management o Methodology and Tools o Project Support Services The EPMO Project Resource Lead will work collaboratively across the organisation to support the resource capacity planning and management for project resources by providing expert advice to ensure resource levels are managed for all projects and programs. This is underpinned by long-term resource planning, regular deliverability assessments and portfolio prioritisation.
About You
You are a highly organised and analytical workforce planning, resource management or project scheduling professional with experience supporting complex project, program or portfolio environments. You bring a strong understanding of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) concepts and methodologies, along with the ability to balance resource supply and demand across multiple initiatives while maintaining a focus on business outcomes.
You have experience leading or supporting resource management, demand planning, scheduling or workforce capacity functions within large, multifaceted programs of work. Confident working with system-based scheduling and planning tools, you are skilled at analysing large and complex data sets to identify trends, forecast future demand, and provide practical insights that support informed workforce and delivery decisions.
Your ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels allows you to effectively partner with project managers, delivery leaders, finance teams and people leaders to address resource challenges and optimise workforce utilisation. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can manage competing priorities, and communicate complex information clearly through high-quality reporting and insights.
You are customer-focused, proactive and continuously looking for ways to improve processes, tools and ways of working. Experience in resource capacity analysis, project portfolio reporting, budgeting or financial planning will be highly regarded. Qualifications or training in project management, delivery or change methodologies such as PRINCE2, SAFe, Lean, Scrum or Waterfall are advantageous, as is an understanding of broader change and transformation frameworks. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in data analysis and reporting, are essential.
