Salary: $150k - $260k per annum

Summary
Design and govern enterprise application architecture for a Microsoft-centric, cloud-first environment. We are seeking an experienced Lead Enterprise Architect to define architecture strategy, roadmaps, standards, reusable patterns, and governance grounded in TOGAF principles. The role will connect business capabilities with technology investments, guide application portfolio decisions, and ensure secure, scalable, and integrated solutions across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, and ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture and Application Portfolio Management.

What You'll Do
  • Develop enterprise architecture blueprints across business, application, data, and technology layers.
  • Define enterprise application strategy, architecture principles, target-state roadmaps, reference architectures, reusable patterns, and solution guardrails.
  • Design integration patterns across enterprise systems using Microsoft Azure services such as API Management, Logic Apps, and related cloud integration capabilities.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise standards for security, scalability, resilience, interoperability, maintainability, and cloud adoption.
  • Translate business priorities into capability models, application portfolio decisions, technology investments, and phased modernization plans.
  • Maintain architecture standards, roadmaps, decision records, capability maps, application inventories, and solution artifacts in ServiceNow EA/APM or equivalent tooling.
  • Establish and support Architecture Review Board processes, architecture assessments, solution approvals, and governance controls without direct code-review responsibility.
  • Lead application portfolio rationalization to reduce duplication, identify modernization opportunities, manage technology risk, and align platforms with business capabilities.
  • Identify architectural risks, dependencies, integration challenges, security considerations, and cross-platform impacts before they affect delivery.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to technology leaders, delivery teams, business stakeholders, and executives on architecture decisions, trade-offs, and investment priorities.
  • Evaluate emerging Microsoft and partner technologies, including Copilot and Power Platform capabilities, to improve innovation, efficiency, and enterprise architecture maturity.
  • Perform other architecture and technology-strategy responsibilities as required.
What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of related experience in enterprise architecture, application architecture, solution architecture, or comparable technology leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience applying TOGAF or a similar enterprise architecture framework within a complex organization.
  • Deep expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure IaaS/PaaS and Integration Services, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Copilot.
  • Experience using ServiceNow Application Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture modules or comparable architecture-management platforms.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into capability models, architecture roadmaps, application strategies, and practical technology-investment priorities.
  • Strong expertise in integration architecture, API-led connectivity, cloud-native design patterns, application portfolio management, and application rationalization.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, scalability, risk management, data considerations, and architecture quality controls.
  • Experience identifying platform dependencies, integration constraints, legacy-system risks, and modernization opportunities across enterprise portfolios.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to operate independently, balance strategic and practical considerations, and provide clear guidance in complex, changing environments.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • TOGAF certification or an equivalent enterprise architecture credential.
  • Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, or related Microsoft certifications.
  • ServiceNow APM or Enterprise Architecture certification and implementation experience.
  • Experience supporting application modernization, cloud transformation, platform consolidation, or enterprise architecture governance programs.
  • Experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, professional services, or other project-based enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with additional enterprise architecture and portfolio tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, or Sparx Enterprise Architect.
Education
Bachelor's degree is optional. Equivalent directly related professional experience will be considered in place of a degree.
