Joining ING as a Senior Tax & Reporting Expert

The U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the OECD equivalent, Common Reporting Standard (CRS) require financial institutions such as ING Bank to collect and report tax related information about its clients (Account Holders) and their accounts held.

Your Mission is to monitor and coordinate the appropriate implementation of FATCA/CRS requirements for all ING Wholesale entities within the scope of FATCA/CRS.

Scope of the role includes other similar obligation such as US Withholding & Reporting or applicable local reporting obligations (E.g. VIA in the Netherlands).

The opportunity

As a Senior Tax & Reporting Expert you will actively work with many different stakeholders across ING organisation. Service has grown from one location to 3 locations and from one framework to multiple frameworks. You will have the opportunity to grow the service further and help to shape it.

Your role and responsibilities

In your role as a Senior Tax & Reporting Expert you will:

  • Act as process expert for FATCA/CRS account reporting;
  • Be responsible for Wholesale account reporting to tax authorities;
  • Act as FATCA/CRS process lead - establish, execute and maintain local FATCA/CRS compliance program;
  • Monitor FATCA/CRS Account Reporting and control framework execution;
  • Coordinate and oversee FATCA/CRS procedures and implement their update.
  • Implement and execute FATCA/CRS/US Withholding control standards;
  • Be point of contact for all FATCA/CRS related topics in the location/business line;
  • Update regularly and monitor fulfillment of the FATCA/CRS/US Withholding training plan;

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, with min 4 years of relevant experience in (banking) risk management and/or risk auditing.
  • In-depth knowledge of FATCA/CRS/USW topics.
  • Strong risk awareness and a sound understanding of risk management principles.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong knowledge of, and hands-on experience with, NFR frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven planning and organisational skills.
  • Customer-focused and collaboration-minded, with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholders.
  • A team player who can also deliver independently in close cooperation with colleagues.
  • A proactive ‘can-do’ mindset and the drive to make things happen.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable asking for help and feedback, confident speaking up and providing constructive feedback to others.

Wage (gross)

  • 4 293 EUR/month

*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
