In This Role

In this role, you will help shape the user experience of AI-powered productivity features by planning, conducting, and communicating user research that informs product decisions. You will own end-to-end research studies using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, synthesize insights into clear recommendations, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to improve the overall user experience. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative research environment while directly influencing features used by a broad and diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, design, and execute end-to-end user research studies using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
    • Identify research questions and determine the most effective research methods to answer them.
    • Conduct usability studies, interviews, surveys, benchmark studies, and unmoderated research.
    • Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Present research results clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, helping drive product improvements.
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
    • Evaluate user experiences and identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, and customer satisfaction.
    • Perform competitive research to understand industry trends, user expectations, and product positioning.
    • Leverage AI tools to improve research productivity while validating outputs and ensuring research quality.
    • Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive timelines.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Computer Science, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
    • 1–2 years of experience conducting UX research or usability research.
    • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
    • Experience planning, organizing, and managing research projects from initiation through reporting.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize research into clear, actionable recommendations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting findings to stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience using AI tools to support research workflows with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience conducting UX benchmark or usability benchmarking studies.
    • Experience researching AI-powered products or intelligent user experiences.
    • Familiarity with usability metrics, user satisfaction measurement, and competitive analysis.
    • Experience working in agile product development environments with rapid research cycles.
    • Ability to independently own research studies from planning through final presentation within short timelines.
    • Experience communicating complex research findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset when learning new research methods and technologies.
    • Passion for improving customer experiences through evidence-based decision making.

Salary Range 

At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $35-38 USD/hourly.  Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
