How will you fit in the big picture?

The Associate Manager Employee Relations will serve as a trusted Employee Relations expert, helping leaders navigate complex workplace matters with consistency, fairness, and sound judgment. In this role, you will lead high-risk investigations, advise HR Business Partners, Legal, EHS, and business leaders, and use ER data to identify trends and reduce risk across the organization.

What will you do?

  • Lead and resolve complex investigations involving misconduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, compliance issues, and serious conduct concerns.
  • Coach and advise managers on workplace accommodations, performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and risk-aware decision making.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, EHS, and business leaders to ensure consistent application of ER strategy, policies, and practices.
  • Monitor and analyze ER case data to identify trends, root causes, systemic issues, and proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to ER process, policy, technology, documentation, and case-management improvements that support operational excellence.
  • Develop and deliver ER training, mentor less-experienced ER colleagues, and simplify complex ER topics into practical leader guidance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned regions or business units, providing credible and responsive partnership to organizational leaders.

 


Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience required, aligned to Associate Manager role.
  • Experience conducting complex or high-volume employee relations investigations.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, policy interpretation, documentation, and risk management.
  • Experience advising leaders on sensitive ER matters, accommodations, performance-related transitions, conflict resolution, and policy application.
  • Ability to analyze ER data, identify trends, and recommend practical actions that reduce risk and strengthen consistency.
  • Experience partnering with HR, Legal, EHS, and cross-functional stakeholders.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
