Job description

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA ERP transformation focused on manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role will develop custom SAP solutions, build system integrations, and support multiple SAP modules that enable production, inventory, warehouse, transportation, compliance, and material management processes. The ideal candidate has strong ABAP development experience, deep knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4HANA, and enjoys solving complex integration and technical challenges in an Agile environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support custom SAP ABAP solutions within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Develop enhancements, interfaces, forms, reports, workflows, and custom applications (RICEWF objects).
  • Build and maintain integrations between SAP and external systems using middleware, SOAP, OData, IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs, and other integration technologies.
  • Review functional and technical specifications to ensure scalable, maintainable development solutions.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept efforts and recommend sustainable technical approaches that minimize technical debt.
  • Collaborate with Scrum teams, SAP developers, architects, middleware teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Support data integration, master data management, and compliance data across the SAP landscape.
  • Participate in software estimation, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
  • Assist with system implementation phases including planning, unit testing, integration testing, UAT, training, cutover, and annual go-live activities.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Proven SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale SAP implementation or ERP transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Product Compliance Management (PCM) and SAP Environment, Health & Safety (EHS).
  • Experience integrating SAP with external systems.
  • Experience with ETL processes and enterprise data integration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Work Details

  • Work Arrangement: 100% Remote (Full-Time Telework)
  • Schedule: 4/10 Work Schedule (Four 10-hour days)
  • Overtime Status: Non-Exempt
  • Security Clearance: None Required
