Job description

Overview

Client is seeking a Software Integration and Test Engineer to support the Missile Operational Flight Program. This role will integrate and test internally developed and COTS/GOTS hardware and software components within a System/Software Integration Lab. The engineer will develop test solutions, execute manual and automated testing, analyze results, troubleshoot integration issues, and verify system performance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for integrating and testing components, elements, subsystems, and systems.
  • Translate contractual requirements into system test solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications, standards, and input/output parameters.
  • Resolve hardware and software interface issues and ensure complete system or subsystem integration.
  • Review and derive requirements for testability.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive system and subsystem test plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate integration and testing activities across programs and supporting organizations.
  • Analyze test results and prepare system-level evaluation reports that verify and validate performance.
  • Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing to validate incorporated fixes.
  • Develop automated test scripts and perform test-data analysis.
  • Troubleshoot software and integration problems and recommend solutions to system and software engineering teams.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Active Secret clearance required before starting.
  • At least 2 years of C++ experience.
  • At least 2 years of system or software integration experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a System/Software Integration Lab performing test planning, procedure development, and manual and automated test execution.
  • At least 2 years of automated test scripting and data-analysis experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar technologies.
  • At least 2 years of hardware and software integration experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience using COTS or custom tools to evaluate software against requirements, identify problems, troubleshoot issues, and recommend resolutions.
  • At least 2 years of experience analyzing software problems.
  • At least 2 years of Agile experience using daily scrums, sprint cadences, program increments, and epic-based release schedules.
  • Experience with integration regression testing, requirements verification, and system validation.
  • Ability to develop test plans, procedures, discrepancy reports, and system evaluation documentation.

Work Details

  • Full-time remote role.
  • 4/10A, first-shift schedule.
  • Steel-toe shoes are required.
  • Position requires access to ECI information.
