Position: Verification Specialist

Status: Full-Time (Contractor)

Summary:

The Verifications Specialist will serve as an extension of our team, verifying employment, education, professional references, and license status of job applicants for our clients.

 

How our Verifications Specialist spends their time:

  • Make outbound calls daily in the performance of education, employment, and reference verifications provided by job applicants on behalf of our clients;
  • Review and complete verification requests as ordered by our clients; 
  • Determine, through research, the next steps to verify information;
  • Answer inbound calls on a multi-line phone system for the Verifications Department;
  • Conduct internet research to verify education and employment information provided by job candidates;
  • Email businesses, schools, and professional organizations to verify information given by job applicants on behalf of our clients;
  • Conduct interviews with professional references to assess a job applicant's previous work history;
  • Meet team productivity and accuracy standards;
  • Administrative responsibilities related to the Verifications team, including but not limited to file triage, mass text/emailing, monitoring group inbox;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  • 1+ year(s) experience in an office setting;
  • At least 1 year of experience in U.S. Domestic Background Screening;
  • Strong phone presence required, with a professional demeanor;
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office products;
  • Navigate between multiple windows/browsers with ease, perform extensive internet research, and type 45 WPM;
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, ability to be on the phone for extended periods, perform extensive internet, and phone research.
