Job description

Overview:

As an Associate Director at Linesight, you will lead highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams, nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. You will build on your extensive industry experience, broadening your expertise whilst helping deliver some of the UK's most significant Critical Infrastructure programmes.

Working with one of the UK's leading Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), you will provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of transmission projects, including cable connections, substation developments, and commissioning. We will empower, support, and enable you to take ownership of your role, contribute to our business strategy and build lasting relationships with our teams and clients.

The Opportunity:

In this role you will:

 

  • Lead Programme Controls across a portfolio of Critical Infrastructure projects, including cable connections, substation developments, and commissioning.
  • Establish and implement Programme Controls and PMO frameworks to support successful programme delivery.
  • Provide strategic oversight of programme governance, reporting, planning, risk, cost, schedule and change management.
  • Develop executive reporting and performance dashboards, providing insight to senior client stakeholders.
  • Drive programme planning, road mapping and performance tracking across multiple projects.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, contractors and delivery partners.
  • Lead, mentor and develop high-performing Programme Controls teams.
  • Support business development and bid activities across the Energy sector.

 

We would love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Have significant Programme Controls experience delivering nfrastructure programmes.
  • Have successfully managed complex, multi-project portfolios for utility or energy clients.
  • Have expertise in PMO design and implementation, governance, reporting, risk, cost and change management.
  • Have experience engaging with senior client stakeholders and leading programme governance.
  • Have excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have a degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Hold, or are working towards, a recognised professional qualification such as APM, PMI, MSP, or an equivalent industry accreditation.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.
