The Director of Sales is the commercial leader for Mondelēz's largest business unit within Albertsons and serves as a strategic leader across the broader customer organization. This role is accountable for delivering profitable growth for the Cookies & Crackers portfolio while ensuring an integrated customer strategy across all Mondelēz businesses. The Director acts as the commercial integrator across the Albertsons business, aligning business unit strategies, influencing enterprise customer priorities, and partnering with Market Excellence to ensure flawless execution.

How you will contribute

Business Unit Leadership 

  • Own the end-to-end Cookies & Crackers business including revenue, share, profitability, trade investment and annual operating plan. 
  • Lead Joint Business Planning and long-term category strategy. 
  • Deliver annual financial commitments and identify new growth platforms. 

Customer Strategy & Executive Relationships 

  • Own strategic relationships with National Category Director(s). 
  • Partner with National Merchandising leadership on assortment, pricing, promotions and innovation. 
  • Support executive engagement with senior Albertsons leadership. 

Commercial Leadership 

  • Lead cross-functional planning across Sales, Category, Finance, Supply Chain, Shopper Marketing, RGM and Brand. 
  • Align enterprise priorities with commercial execution. 

People Leadership 

  • Coach and develop KAMs. 
  • Partner with Market Excellence team. 
  • Build organizational capability and succession. 

Enterprise Integration 

  • Prioritize investments. 
  • Lead governance routines. 
  • Represent one integrated Mondelēz strategy.

Education / Certifications: Bachelor's degree in business or related field required, Master's degree preferred. 

Job specific requirements: 

  • 7+ yrs of progressive experience in CPG sales and business development, including in a people manager/leadership role. Food category experience is required. 
  • Understanding of product commercialization processes. 
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to leverage customer specific data i.e. Syndicated/Nielsen/Circana to drive business results. 
  • Self-starter with high learning agility and the ability to successfully work through ambiguity. 
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and tactical execution experience. 
  • Customer focus and attention to detail. 
  • Experience with customer trade negotiations. 
  • Understanding and driving action using a customer P&L 

Travel requirements: Yes (~15%)

Work schedule: This is a full-time position based in Boise, ID with frequent in-person customer meetings  

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $142,700 to $235,455; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.

In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Some of these benefits have eligibility requirements. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
