LegalBillReview.com was founded in 2016 to address a significant and ongoing need in the market: managing the complexities of outside counsel billing with a balance of technology and human expertise. Inspired by the vision of our co-founder, the late Joe Hopkins, we’ve remained committed to delivering exceptional value through a combination of precision, insight, and trusted relationships. What Sets Us Apart While advancements in technology have transformed legal operations, the value of human expertise remains irreplaceable—especially when it comes to managing trusted relationships with outside counsel. Our team of U.S.-based, licensed attorneys specializes in reviewing the nuanced and subjective nature of legal billing. We work directly with law firms to achieve meaningful savings while fostering "buy-in" and preserving productive long-term relationships. Complementing Technology with Human Expertise Our service is designed to complement your existing Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) software or stand alone as a comprehensive solution. We integrate seamlessly with technology to deliver the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness in legal bill review. Yet, where software ends, our human touch takes over—through careful appeals processes and collaborative engagement with outside counsel that software alone cannot replicate. Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Title: Strategic Partnerships Manager

Job Summary:

As the Strategic Partnerships Manager you will be LBR’s dedicated channel manager, responsible for establishing, growing, and managing a network of strategic referral and reseller partners. This individual will work closely with the President to define LBR’s channel strategy and will own the full partner lifecycle — from identification and recruitment through enablement and revenue performance.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a motivated partnership professional who thrives in a building environment and wants to put their fingerprints on a program from day one.

This position reports directly to the company’s President.

This position is 100% remote. Standard business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Channel Strategy & Program Development:

  • Design and execute LBR’s go-to-market channel partner strategy in alignment with overall sales objectives.
  • Define partner tiers, onboarding frameworks, commission structures, and co-selling protocols.
  • Build scalable processes for partner recruitment, enablement, and performance management.

Partner Recruitment & Relationship Management:

  • Identify and engage high-potential referral and reseller partners including law firms, legal ops consultants, insurance platforms, and legal tech vendors.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and manage contract execution in collaboration with legal and leadership.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for all channel partners, driving engagement and mutual success.

Revenue Generation & Pipeline Management:

  • Develop and manage a partner-sourced pipeline, tracking activity and results against quarterly targets.
  • Collaborate with LBR’s direct sales team to coordinate partner-referred opportunities and avoid channel conflict.
  • Provide regular reporting to the President on partner pipeline, revenue contribution, and program health.

Partner Enablement & Co-Marketing:

  • Create and maintain partner-facing materials including pitch decks, case studies, FAQs, and co-branded collateral.
  • Conduct partner training sessions to ensure partners can effectively articulate LBR’s value proposition.
  • Coordinate with marketing on campaigns, events, and content that support partner-driven demand generation.

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a dedicated channel partnerships, alliances, or partner development role.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and managing partner programs that drive measurable revenue.
  • Experience navigating complex, consultative partner relationships — not transactional channel sales.
  • Strong negotiation skills and comfort with partnership agreements and commercial terms.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in a remote, fast-moving environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in legal technology, legal services, insurance, or a similarly professional/regulated vertical preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal billing, outside counsel management, or legal operations concepts preferred.
  • Prior experience as a first channel hire or in a “build it from scratch” partnerships role preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Zoho CRM a plus) and partner management systems.

Benefits:

At LegalBillReview.com, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • 100% employer-paid employee healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Generous Paid Time Off — 15 days PTO, 3 floating holidays, and 7 company-recognized holidays.
  • $50,000 in employer-paid life insurance coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • 401(k) with 4% company match.

Company Culture:

LegalBillReview.com is a fast-growing company with a collaborative, high-standards culture. We work hard and move quickly — but we also take work-life balance seriously. We want people who are proud of what they produce and who bring genuine care to their craft. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
