Job description

At CI&T, we help large enterprises transform the potential of AI into real business impact with AI Deployment, AI-native execution, and tech-integrated business solutions.

With 30 years of experience in technological transformation, we accelerate innovation with expertise in Agentic SDLC, Application modernization, Data & AI, Martech and Business strategy.

CI&T is seeking a senior Data MDM Architect to join an embedded engagement with a leading U.S.-based client operating at the intersection of ESG advisory and carbon credit trading. The client manages complex, high-volume data across multiple integrated platforms to support both enterprise sustainability consulting and financial trading operations. As data volumes, integration complexity, and regulatory expectations grow, the need for a unified, authoritative data architecture has become a strategic priority — making this role critical to the client's next phase of growth.

In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor and hands-on architect, designing and governing the "golden source of truth" for counterparties, products, and contacts across a multi-platform ecosystem. This is not a purely strategic position — you will be expected to engage directly with US-based technical leadership, conduct architectural discovery, produce deliverables, and make consequential decisions independently. You will cover the full data lifecycle: ingestion, cleansing, MDM, integration patterns, governance, and reporting — ensuring every layer of the architecture is correct, scalable, and resilient from day one.

Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Review & Validation: Assess and validate the current multi-platform data architecture and MDM strategy, identifying technical debt, integration gaps, and risks to data integrity across Salesforce, NetSuite, and other integrated systems.

  • MDM Strategy Design: Define and deliver the master data management architecture, establishing the "golden source of truth" for core entities — counterparties, products, contacts, and financial instruments — across all five core platforms.

  • Data Governance Framework: Develop and implement enterprise-grade data governance policies covering data ownership, lineage, access controls, and stewardship to ensure consistent data integrity across the ecosystem.

  • Entity Mapping & STP Alignment: Lead the mapping of complex counterparty and product data entities to enable seamless straight-through processing (STP) across trading and ERP workflows.

  • Integration Pattern Design: Architect resilient, scalable integration patterns for the Azure-based middleware layer to handle master data synchronization without duplication or data drift across connected platforms.

  • Technical Discovery Partnership: Collaborate closely with US-based technical leads during the Discovery phase to surface architectural risks, validate current data flows, and define the roadmap for remediation.

  • MDM Solution Advisory: Evaluate and recommend "out-of-the-box" vs. "custom-built" MDM approaches through structured SWOT analysis, balancing cost, scalability, and time-to-value.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex architectural decisions into clear, actionable guidance for both technical teams and executive stakeholders (CTO, CPTO), driving alignment across business and engineering.

  • Long-Term Data Roadmap: Develop a strategic roadmap for data lineage, access controls, and the evolution toward modern Data Fabric solutions — including a forward-looking plan for unstructured data and AI-augmented architectures.

Requirements:

  • Advanced English communication skills (C1 or above), with demonstrated ability to lead strategic discussions and sell ideas to US-based executive and technical leadership

  • Solid experience in Data Architecture and MDM strategy, with a track record of delivering full end-to-end data architectures in enterprise environments

  • Proven experience designing data governance frameworks in complex, regulated environments such as financial services, commodity trading, or ESG/energy markets

  • Demonstrated ability to work in an embedded, autonomous capacity — proactively engaging stakeholders, driving architectural decisions, and delivering results without requiring a dedicated team

  • Experience with Azure-based data architectures and middleware integration patterns (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or equivalent)

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge client assumptions constructively and advocate for sound architectural choices at the executive level

Nice to Have:

  • Deep, hands-on expertise with NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM) data structures, integration patterns, and data modeling — ability to operate independently in both platforms from day one

  • Familiarity with carbon markets, ESG data structures, or financial trading platforms

  • Experience with modern Data Fabric or Data Mesh architectural patterns

  • Knowledge of RAG-based AI strategies applied to enterprise data environments

  • Exposure to contract lifecycle management or legal data management systems

  • Relevant certifications in data management, cloud architecture, or enterprise integration (e.g., DAMA CDMP, Azure Solutions Architect)

  • Experience operating across LATAM or North American cross-cultural technical teams
