Compass Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Healthcare & Physician Recruiter to recruit physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare personnel supporting government healthcare programs.
Working under the direction of the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, the Healthcare & Physician Recruiter will execute established recruitment priorities and sourcing initiatives for current and anticipated staffing needs. This position will bring specialized knowledge of physician and healthcare recruitment, identify qualified clinical candidates, maintain candidate pipelines, and provide leadership with relevant market and candidate feedback.
The recruiter will serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment and selection process. Responsibilities include screening candidates, explaining position and contract requirements, preparing applicants for interviews, maintaining regular communication, and guiding candidates through each stage of the hiring process.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated success recruiting physicians and other difficult-to-fill healthcare professionals and understands the unique considerations associated with clinical recruitment, including licensure, certifications, credentialing, compensation expectations, geographic limitations, and government contract requirements.
JOB DUTIES:
Recruit physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare personnel in accordance with company hiring priorities.
Source qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, referrals, direct outreach, healthcare associations, and other recruiting channels.
Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current openings and anticipated government contract staffing needs.
Review applications and conduct initial screenings to assess candidates’ clinical experience, education, licensure, certifications, availability, compensation expectations, and interest.
Confirm candidates meet preliminary position and contract requirements before advancing them for consideration.
Coordinate interviews and communicate candidate information and feedback to leadership, program managers, and other hiring stakeholders.
Serve as the primary candidate point of contact, providing timely updates and clear information regarding positions, schedules, compensation, benefits or contractor terms, and hiring requirements.
Prepare and coach candidates for interviews and guide them through the recruitment, credentialing, security, and onboarding processes.
Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition records in the applicant tracking system.
Provide leadership with feedback regarding candidate availability, compensation expectations, sourcing results, and barriers affecting recruitment.
Coordinate with Human Resources, credentialing, security, and program management to support an efficient hiring process.
Protect confidential candidate information and ensure recruiting activities comply with employment laws, company policies, and government contracting requirements.
Represent the company professionally at recruiting events, career fairs, conferences, and networking opportunities as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of physician and healthcare recruitment practices, sourcing methods, and candidate markets.
Experience recruiting specialized and difficult-to-fill healthcare positions.
Excellent communication, interviewing, candidate engagement, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to evaluate clinical qualifications and clearly explain licensing, credentialing, and government contract requirements.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and candidates.
Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable conducting direct candidate outreach.
Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information and personally identifiable information.
Familiarity with applicable employment laws and recruiting best practices.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, online sourcing platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and internal teams.
