Job description

Loan Officer 

 

Icon Lending, the affiliated mortgage company of Trumark Homes, is looking for a Loan Officer who is prepared to make a difference for customers looking to buy a home. The Loan Officer will be responsible for discussing the client's needs, recommending the best loan products, helping customers put together a complete loan package and working with the underwriting team throughout the loan process.   

 

Loan Officer responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to determine their needs and recommend the right loan products to help meet their goals. 
  • Provide education and support to borrowers throughout the application, closing and post-closing.
  • Maintain an active knowledge base of all the organization’s available loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant
  • Identify and recommend products that meets the customer’s needs and the organization’s lending guidelines
  • Review active loan files each day to determine if any documents are missing or what can be done to accelerate the process.
  • Maintain relevant professional licensing.

Loan Officer Requirements

  • Active NMLS license preferred
  • Ability to organize and deliver Home Buyer Workshop presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and client service skills
  • Self-motivated and highly organized
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
  • Math skills
  • Computer skills
  • Compensation: base $16.90 hourly with targeted earnings from $160K- $300K
