About the Role

 

This role plays a key part in supporting and maintaining data, analytics and business intelligence solutions for a range of customers. You will work across SQL Server, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environments, helping resolve incidents, improve platform performance and deliver reliable reporting solutions. The role requires visiting our Adelaide based customer site one day in a week.

 

Scope of the Role

 

  • Providing Level 2/3 support for data, analytics and business intelligence solutions
  • Troubleshooting incidents, service requests and platform issues, including root cause analysis
  • Supporting SQL Server databases, T-SQL scripts, ETL processes and Microsoft BI technologies
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX measures and Power Query transformations
  • Assisting with Microsoft Fabric technologies including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines and semantic models
  • Participating in testing, change management, deployment and release activities
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, knowledge articles and support runbooks
  • Collaborating with customers, service delivery teams and technical specialists to deliver excellent outcomes
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and improve existing analytics and reporting processes

About you


You are a customer focused technology professional with experience supporting data and analytics environments. You enjoy investigating technical issues, working collaboratively with stakeholders and continuously expanding your technical capability across modern Microsoft data platforms. You bring strong Microsoft BI and reporting experience and enjoy problem solving, customer engagement and working with both modern and legacy data platforms. Key Skills and Experience include:

  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, application support or a similar Microsoft technology environment
  • Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including troubleshooting queries, stored procedures and data issues
  • Experience developing or supporting Power BI reports, data models, Power Query and DAX
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration and production support practices
  • Experience investigating incidents, identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services or modern cloud based analytics platforms will be highly regarded
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI Report Server, Azure DevOps or Git is advantageous
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, or a willingness to pursue certification, will be highly regarded
