Young Life shall only employ individuals or enlist volunteer leaders who: (a) profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; and (b) subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith. Therefore, employees and volunteers of Young Life, during working and nonworking hours, shall: (i) be ready, willing and able to fulfill such ministry functions as may be required by the organization; (ii) refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life, and (iii) abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies for the division.

  • Engage stakeholders through compelling storytelling, impact reports, and donor communications.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure brand consistency and adherence to guidelines.

  • Produce regular communication materials, including reports, digital content, and event collateral.

  • Coordinate with regional staff to manage donor reporting, including camp impact, sponsor packages, and regional reports.

  • Oversee and train regional communications volunteers in storytelling and field reporting skills.

  • Direct content development for the division's web presence and digital media, including social media and video stories.

Project Management

  • Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely execution of communications strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align communication projects with organizational goals.

  • Establish and maintain efficient workflows for content creation, review, and approval processes.

  • Track project status, budget, and resources to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Facilitate team meetings to provide updates, resolve bottlenecks, and track action items.

  • Utilize project management tools to document progress, maintain archives, and share resources.

  • Identify process improvements to streamline content production and enhance team productivity.

  • Coordinate with external stakeholders and vendors to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and brand guidelines.

  • Effective communication across all channels.

  • High donor retention and engagement.

Personal Fundraising:

  • Raise 100% of support for compensation and expenses while maintaining strong partner relationships.

Skills and Experience:

  • 2 or more years of experience required

  • Strong project management and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

  • Ability to coordinate with global stakeholders.

  • Deep knowledge of Young Life practices, culture, and mission.

  • Deep desire to serve in a Christian mission.

  • Remote collaboration experience, flexibility, and confidentiality.

  • Known to be filled with the Holy Spirit and wisdom.

  • Be a team player and work well remotely finding a way to keep connected with a disbursed team.

  • Pray and listen to the Lord.

Working Conditions & Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree.

  • Significant marketing/communications experience with brand and storytelling expertise.

  • Ability to work from home, a local office, or the Service Center.

  • Strong knowledge of Young Life and Young Life culture is preferred.

Job Specific Working Conditions:

The LAC South Vice Presidency is seeking a professional who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a genuine commitment to Christian values. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience serving within the Young Life ministry, a passion for reaching children and young people with the Gospel, and a clear understanding of the importance of building meaningful relationships with donors while fostering their long-term engagement and commitment.

In addition, the candidate should have significant experience in communications, with strong knowledge of digital communication tools and technology. They should be able to develop and implement effective communication strategies that strengthen our ministry's presence, engage diverse audiences, and support the continued growth and sustainability of Young Life's mission.

The anticipated rate for this position is an estimated $19.60/hr depending on relevant education, experience, and location.
