**Application Modernization Specialist Consultant Engineer – AppMod SCE**

**Position Overview**
We are looking for an experienced Application Modernization Specialist Consultant Engineer to join the LATAM Application Modernization – AppMod practice.
The professional will support digital transformation initiatives focused on enterprise application modernization, cloud-native architecture, DevOps, platform engineering, and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence throughout the Software Development Lifecycle – SDLC.
This position requires strong software development and application architecture experience, practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, and the ability to work directly with clients and globally distributed teams in English.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Support enterprise application modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Assess existing applications and recommend modernization strategies, architectural improvements, and cloud-native solutions.
• Design modern application architectures using Google Cloud Platform services and technologies.
• Support application development, DevOps, and platform engineering initiatives.
• Implement and optimize automated build, testing, deployment, and infrastructure pipelines.
• Establish and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery – CI/CD practices.
• Apply AI-driven development practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Support the adoption of AI-assisted engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, and software development approaches.
• Work directly with clients to understand technical requirements, define solutions, and provide specialized consulting.
• Collaborate with technical teams, architects, developers, platform engineers, and stakeholders across LATAM and global environments.
• Contribute to the acceleration of software delivery cycles, engineering productivity, application reliability, and modernization outcomes.
**Required Technical Skills**
**Application Modernization**
• Strong experience modernizing and transforming enterprise applications.
• Experience assessing legacy systems and defining application modernization strategies.
• Knowledge of modern application architecture principles and patterns.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, maintainable, and cloud-native applications.
**Application Development, DevOps, and Platform Engineering**
• Strong software development background.
• Practical experience with DevOps methodologies and engineering practices.
• Experience with platform engineering concepts and implementation.
• Experience automating software development, infrastructure, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery – CI/CD.
**Google Cloud Platform – GCP**
• Hands-on experience working in Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Experience developing and architecting cloud-native solutions on GCP.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, application services, infrastructure automation, observability, reliability, and security practices.
**Artificial Intelligence Applied to Software Engineering**
• Knowledge of AI-driven Software Development Lifecycle – AI-driven SDLC practices.
• Knowledge or experience with Antigravity.
• Knowledge or experience with Antigravity 2.0.
• Knowledge or experience with Antigravity CLI.
• Understanding of AI-augmented Site Reliability Engineering – AI-augmented SRE.
• Knowledge of Spec-driven Development.
• Knowledge of Intent Spec-driven Development.
• Experience with ADK – Agent Development Kit, or equivalent AI agent development frameworks.
**Professional Profile**
• Strong background in software development and application engineering.
• Experience with cloud application architecture.
• Proven exposure to enterprise application transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of automation, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence applied to the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work effectively in global and multicultural environments.
• Strong client-facing communication and consulting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with geographically distributed technical teams.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical solutions.

**Language Requirement**
Advanced or fluent English is mandatory, as the professional will communicate directly with clients, technical teams, and stakeholders in English throughout the engagement.
