In this role, you’ll own the integrity of our financial reporting, lead the monthly close and consolidation process, strengthen internal controls, and partner with leaders across the business to turn financial information into clear, actionable insight.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting leader who enjoys creating structure in a dynamic environment, improving processes, and balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You’ll play an important role in helping CeriFi build a scalable financial foundation that supports continued growth.

What You’ll Own

Financial Close & Reporting

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting close documentation.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting.
  • Deliver balance sheet and P&L variance analysis, highlighting trends, risks, and meaningful business insights for leadership.
  • Maintain clear reporting standards and ensure financial information is accurate, consistent, and decision-ready.

Accounting Operations & Controls

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure accounting practices are applied consistently across the organization and its portfolio of brands.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting operations.

Audit, Compliance & Risk

  • Coordinate annual audits, quarterly reviews, and related testing with internal and external partners.
  • Prepare schedules, documentation, and supporting materials for auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Help ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, company policies, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proactively identify financial, operational, and control risks and recommend practical solutions.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Evaluate current accounting workflows and lead improvements that reduce manual work and increase accuracy.
  • Champion automation across close, reconciliation, consolidation, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders to strengthen systems, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Support system implementations, integrations, and enhancements as the organization evolves.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance, resolve accounting questions, and support informed decision-making.
  • Communicate financial results and accounting matters clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Support special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization while maintaining a high standard of accountability and service.
Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated excellence and significant ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
  • Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and analyzing financial performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to step beyond traditional role boundaries when needed.
  • Experience in a multi-entity, private equity-backed, technology, education, or high-growth environment is highly valued.
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience required; familiarity with Salesforce, Accounting Seed, or similar integrated financial and business systems is a plus.
  • Strong revenue recognition experience required; familiarity with acquisition integration is preferred
