Job description

Position Purpose: In conjunction with leadership, leads strategic business transformation programs with enterprise impact. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Centene leadership. Assist with the business transformation team's strategy, execution/delivery methodology, and realizing business benefits across the enterprise portfolio. Additionally, manage a team responsible for adhering to the department's Business Transformation Methodology. Source talent, coach, train, mentor and provide feedback; conduct annual reviews and all matters required by HR.

  • Provides forward-thinking leadership to a team of Business Transformation Professionals in guiding the business to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Leverages superior knowledge of healthcare, business improvement/transformation, organization change management, customer experience, and strategy, to develop training and enforcement of the eBT methodology tools and techniques.
  • Provides guidance, leadership and support to Senior Management in identifying opportunities, providing solutioning, and collaborating to develop strategy across all line of business.
  • Through established partnership with senior management and key business stakeholders, actively seeks identification of new initiatives including scope, problem statement, stakeholders, and expected outcomes necessary to guide portfolio prioritization. Leads execution of an Enterprise Prioritization Assessment where applicable.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership through out of the box thinking and leveraging deep knowledge of business processes and systems.
  • Manages a diverse business transformation portfolio affecting organization design, process execution, technology landscape, and business strategy.
  • Oversees proposed business valuation maximizes impact with an emphasis on hard dollar Return on Investment (ROI) savings or cost avoidance scenarios.
  • Sets overall goals, performance standards, and priorities for one or more functions and manages resources to goals and budget.
  • Sets direction, allocates, and reallocates utilization of resources as required across multiple departments.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field. 9+ years of experience in at least three of the following: process improvement/transformation, business/financial analysis, external consulting/auditing/risk analysis, customer journey/experience, organizational change management, IT solution/architecture, project management. Consulting experience preferred. Experience serving as a liaison between health plans, enterprise leadership, and operational teams highly preferred.


License/Certification: Organizational Change Management (PROSCI, Six Sigma CAP, Kotter, Bridge’s Rogers Kubler), CEX, CMMI, Six Sigma, PMP preferred.

Pay Range: $148,000.00 - $274,200.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
