Mobile QA Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Mobile QA Engineer to join a dynamic technology team. This role will partner with QA leader to help with quality assurance efforts across multiple agile teams delivering mobile applications and digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience testing and leading QA initiatives for iOS, Android, and React Native applications , managing distributed teams, and driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-lead QA oversight across multiple agile development teams alongside another QA Lead.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to offshore and nearshore QA teams.
• Define and execute mobile QA strategies for native iOS, native Android, and React Native applications .
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, UX/UI teams, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality mobile experiences.
• Drive test planning, test execution, defect management, and quality reporting aligned with sprint cycles and release schedules.
• Establish and maintain mobile testing best practices, including functional, regression, usability, integration, and performance testing.
• Validate mobile app behavior across a wide range of devices, operating systems, screen sizes, and network conditions.
• Support scrum ceremonies and agile delivery practices.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve test automation coverage and CI/CD quality gates for mobile platforms.
• Handle direct feedback with professionalism and adaptability.
• Contribute to QA process improvements, mobile testing standards, and overall quality strategy.

Qualifications

• 10 years of QA experience, including leadership of QA teams and large-scale testing initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience leading QA efforts for mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms .
• Strong hands-on experience testing React Native applications , with a deep understanding of cross-platform architecture and mobile-specific challenges.
• Experience developing and executing comprehensive mobile test strategies across native and hybrid applications.
• Strong background in manual testing, QA process management, and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience managing offshore and distributed QA teams.
• Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Detox, Maestro, XCTest, Espresso, or similar frameworks.
• Experience validating mobile applications across multiple devices, OS versions, and form factors.
• Strong understanding of API testing, backend integrations, and mobile application performance testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Industry experience in travel, hospitality, cruise, e-commerce, or other customer-facing digital platforms is highly preferred.
• Ability to navigate direct feedback and maintain a collaborative, resilient approach.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
