Job description

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Finance Consultant to support a large-scale ERP modernization initiative within a highly regulated federal environment. 

 

This is a 75% remote position with approximately 25% quarterly travel to the Washington, DC metro area.

 

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities :
  • Design and enforce centralized data governance, quality, and replication rules for public sector or grant-related financial master data.
  • Ensure accurate hierarchy management across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and integrated systems.
  • Design and configure MDG-F (Financials) and custom MDG objects specific to Funds Management, including Funds, Funds Centers, Commitment Items, and Funded Programs.
  • Implement and manage rule-based validation, derivation, and approval workflows using Business Rule Framework plus (BRF+).
  • Configure Data Replication Framework (DRF) to push master data changes across SAP ECC, Central Finance, and non-SAP systems.
  • Define governance policies, establish master data quality rules, and set up duplicate checks and approval matrices.
  • Map Funds Management elements to core FI/CO components like General Ledger (G/L), Profit Centers, and Cost Centers.
  • Write functional specifications for ABAP/UI developers, perform end-to-end testing, and manage cutover/data migration activities.
Qualifications :
  • Strong functional background in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Public Sector Management (PSM), specifically Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM).
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP MDG Architecture, BRF+, Workflow configuration, and Data Replication.
  • Understanding of IDocs, SOA/Web Services, and ALE configurations for master data distribution.
  • 10+ years of SAP experience, including multiple full-lifecycle MDG implementations.

  • W2 Hourly rate starts at $70. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications, and are subject to change at any time.
