Job Description:

Role Overview

As a QA/QC & Construction Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, high-quality installation and commissioning of Fluence energy storage systems. Working closely with customers, construction partners, and internal teams, you will oversee quality inspections, support installation activities, and help ensure projects are completed in accordance with Fluence standards and project requirements.

This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on quality assurance, contractor oversight, technical support, and customer engagement throughout the construction phase. You will lead quality control activities, support training initiatives, assist with issue resolution, and contribute to the successful handover of projects. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical or industrial background, excellent communication skills, and enjoys working in dynamic field environments with significant travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Fluence technical support resources when needed

  • Demonstrate and ensure Safe Operations during installation activities within Energy Storage sites per Safety Management Plan

  • Work closely with customers to ensure timely, professional and effective response to customer installation needs

  • Support customer training during installation and quality inspection as needed

  • Provide onsite hands-on technical support to Fluence Technical Bulletin.

  • Assist Support Quality/Construction Manager in active management of 3rd party installation contractors

  • Lead Quality Control activities of completed work per Quality Plan

  • Facilitate and participate in formal Fluence training through CMMS tool (LMS)

  • Ensure and support active use of company policies & procedures including: Management of Change, Root Cause Analysis, Quality Inspection, Procurement, Peer Review and Benchmarking

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Electrical/Industrial Engineering or Electrical/Industrial Technician equivalent preferred, combination of experience and 2-year technical certificate accepted

  • 2-year experience in the following areas: Battery Storage System  Components (ES), unloading-handling-storage and preservation of ES, equipment installation and quality inspection of ES, handover walkdown, punch list resolution.

  • Industrial electrical installation, AC-DC electrical equipment quality inspection, NCR resolution, RFI issue to project team

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Office 365, Salesforce, Netsuite, LMS (Fluence training), among others industry standard software

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)

  • Strong work ethic and self-starter / driven personality

  • Strong communicator (written and verbal)

  • Must possess strong customer service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projects

  • Ability to be on project site up to 75% of time, as installation and quality inspection work is needed
