Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and enhance software solutions that power simulation environments and automated testing platforms for mission-critical aerospace systems.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to build scalable software components, develop automated validation frameworks, improve CI/CD pipelines, and solve complex integration challenges. What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software components for simulation and test automation platforms.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks for validating complex software systems.
  • Debug, analyze, and resolve software issues across multiple application layers using diagnostic tools, logs, and debuggers.
  • Develop and maintain build systems, software development environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with software, systems, and test engineering teams to integrate software into simulation environments.
  • Analyze software performance and troubleshoot integration issues to improve system stability and reliability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and software development guidelines.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to software engineering best practices.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, STEM, or a related technical discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience,

  • Master's degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong programming expertise in Modern C++ (C++14/C++17 or later).
  • Solid Python programming experience for automation, scripting, and test development.
  • Experience working within Linux development environments.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools such as GDB, log analysis, and diagnostic utilities.
  • Experience using Git and collaborative software development workflows.
  • Familiarity with build systems such as CMake.
  • Experience working with Docker or containerized development environments.
  • Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of software integration, system-level testing, and software validation.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, and inter-process communication.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience developing software for simulation or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with software architecture and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration practices.
  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience working on complex multi-threaded or distributed software systems.
  • Exposure to cloud-native development or virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with software performance optimization and profiling tools.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial automation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within global, cross-functional engineering teams.
