Sales Development Representative -Diligent

Would you like to be the first instrumental step in the sales cycle bringing an industry-leading product to organisations? Our Sales Development Representative position role will give you exactly that! This is an exciting opportunity for you to take responsibility in identifying sales opportunities for an experienced Business Development Executive and Pre-sales Consultant to drive towards winning. Our software solution - Diligent is the global leader in providing SaaS solutions across governance, risk, compliance, audit, board management and entities. Empowering more than 1 million users and 700,000 board members and leaders with a holistic view of their organizations GRC practices so they can make better decisions, faster.

Reporting to: Sales Development Manager

Management level of role: This is not a management role

Working environment & travel: Exceptionally busy, team-orientated environment. Hybrid Role

Working hours: 08h30 to 17h00(Flexible with core hours of 08h30- 16h30)

Working with Account Executives and cross-functional teams, you will build and prioritise target account lists within your defined territory, prospect new business opportunities, qualify their goals and pain-points and identify how our solution can help them.

Key deliverables

  • Generate and seek out new business in targeted industries and accounts through cold-calling, email prospecting and referrals.
  • Mapping a customer organization to identify influencers and decision makers.
  • Actively increase your industry knowledge to educate and create awareness within the customer environment.
  • Identify account specific pain points in order to showcase the offerings of our solutions.
  • Utilise strategic, proven sales methodologies to ensure setting of appointments.
  • Ensure that the CRM system (Salesforce) is accurately updated with all necessary information.
  • Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and be able to hook for a meeting using the unique benefits of the solution.

Technical knowledge, skills & abilities

  • Proven ability to prospect through companies to identify the correct individuals.
  • Proven capability of running a full sales cycle, from finding a new opportunity to closing of deals
  • Demonstrated track-record in over-achieving challenging targets.
