Data Security Architect 
Contract Position 
Fully Remote - supporting EST hours

Position Summary
Our client is seeking a senior Enterprise Data Security Architect to lead the strategy and roadmap for modernizing data protection across a complex hybrid enterprise environment following a major acquisition.

Responsibilities
  • Assess enterprise data security architecture across on-premises and multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead strategy for enterprise tokenization and sensitive data protection.
  • Evaluate tokenization, encryption, vaulting, and data protection technologies.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, and build an implementation roadmap.
  • Reduce attack surface through data minimization and retention strategies.
  • Partner with Security, Data Engineering, Architecture, and Governance teams.
  • Support Snowflake and modern analytics security initiatives.
Required Experience
  • 12+ years in Enterprise Security Architecture or Data Security.
  • Proven enterprise tokenization implementations from strategy through deployment.
  • Experience with encryption, tokenization, data vaults, key management, and data masking.
  • Hybrid environments (On-Prem, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Snowflake experience.
  • Financial Services, Mortgage, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or other regulated industries.
