Senior Communications Designer

Job Summary

The Senior Communications Designer leads visual design and storytelling across new business development, marketing and communications initiatives. This role is responsible for developing high-impact pitch decks, proposal collateral, capabilities presentations and branded marketing materials that support company growth and strengthen Miles Partnership's market presence. Working closely with the SVP of New Business Development, proposal writers, marketing and communications teams and senior leaders across the organization, this role translates complex strategic narratives into clear, compelling visual communications. The Senior Communications Designer combines strong design craft with strategic thinking, balancing polished execution, operational discipline and thoughtful collaboration in fast-paced, high-visibility environments. The role also shapes how presentation systems, templates and visual frameworks evolve across Miles Partnership and affiliated brands.

Responsibilities

  • Design long-form proposal documents and collateral, including infographics, data visualizations, icons and custom presentation assets.
  • Partner closely with proposal writers, marketing and communications teams and company leadership to shape visual narrative structure and presentation flow.
  • Support marketing and communications initiatives through branded collateral, social graphics, email templates, reports and related materials.
  • Build and maintain presentation templates, asset libraries and design systems that improve consistency, efficiency and scalability across teams and brands.
  • Push the work forward by experimenting with new tools, formats and approaches, and bringing the best of them into how the team operates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication or related field preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of design experience, ideally within an agency, marketing, communications or B2B services environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating presentation design, proposal collateral, visual storytelling and communications materials for senior audiences (portfolio required).
  • Expert proficiency in presentation design tools and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong data visualization and infographic skills; the ability to make complex information clear at a glance.
  • Fluency with motion/animation tools and AI-assisted creative platforms.
  • Ability to create interactive or web-based content formats (landing pages, microsites, digital documents); comfort with Figma or similar tools a plus.
  • Experience within travel, tourism, hospitality or destination marketing environments is a plus.
  • Finalists will complete a short design assessment (2–3 hours) as part of the final interview round.


Compensation: $75,000-$80,000

Work Location and Travel

  • This is a primarily remote position for U.S.-based candidates, with optional hybrid or in-office opportunities in Lakewood, Colorado, and Sarasota, Florida.

  • Expected travel: 10–25%, including new business pitches and team gatherings
