ABOUT THE POSITION

Title of Position:Community Impact Coordinator

Position Overview : As a Community Impact Coordinator, you’ll help bring Visions’ commitment to community to life. In this role, you’ll build and maintain relationships with community partners across your assigned region, support the Visions Cares program, coordinate employee engagement opportunities, and represent Visions at community events and initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship-building, community outreach, event support, and creating meaningful connections between organizations, employees, and the communities they serve. 

Compensation Range: $28.00/hr. -$36.50 /hr.*Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: The position is on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Endwell, NY. -Covering the Finger Lakes/Northern PA region. Including Schuyler, Chemung, Tioga, Susquehanna, and Bradford Counties. Hybrid /Remote Opportunity available for NY/PA residents.

What you’ll do in this role:

  • Build and maintain relationships with regional community partners, including nonprofit organizations, membership groups, schools, government agencies, and community leaders.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Visions, community partners, and internal teams to support meaningful community engagement and brand visibility.
  •  Review community requests, listen to partner needs, and recommend strategic solutions aligned with the Visions Cares program and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure the Visions Cares request process moves smoothly ensuring timely responses and a positive experience for applicants/community partners.
  • Track regional spending and provide data-driven feedback and insights to make recommendations in accordance with budget and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate employee volunteer efforts, creating a positive experience for both employees and community partners.
  • Provide content to internal teams in a timely fashion.
  • Represent Visions at community events such as check presentations, ribbon cuttings, press conferences, and other high-value initiatives.
  • Support Community Impact programs throughout the year, including employee giveback initiatives, Volunteer Time Off, Denim Days, Gift Match, and related efforts.
  • Partner with internal teams such as branch/retail, Financial Wellness, People & Culture, Member Business Loans, and Marketing to connect community partners with the right resources.

What Success Looks Like

  • You build trusted relationships with community partners and help identify meaningful opportunities for Visions to support local needs.
  • You provide data-driven feedback and ROI insights to make recommendations of support opportunities that align with organizational priorities.
  • You represent Visions professionally in the community and create positive experiences for partners, employees, and members.
  • Support community events, coordinate volunteer efforts, and respond to partner requests with strong organization, follow through, and attention to detail.
  • You collaborate effectively with internal teams to connect community partners with the right resources and strengthen Visions’ local impact. 

What We're Looking For

  • Associate degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public administration, or a related field, plus 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Three to five years of related experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Experience in community outreach, nonprofit or foundation work, marketing, business development, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office programs and standard office technology
  •  Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Commitment to supporting an inclusive, welcoming, and values-driven environment.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional nights/weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public administration, or a related field.
  •  One to three years of fundraising experience.
  •  Experience working directly with community organizations, volunteers, events, or public-facing partnerships.
