Your role in our team
As Quality Engineer in Terma, you will be a part of a team of Quality Managers and Engineers, working within different Business Areas. Your role will be to provide quality assurance in projects towards defense industry, towards Sea and Land A key role will be to evaluate quality standards like AS9100, AQAP, SAE, MILSTD, NATO STANAG and customer requirements to ensure compliance in projects and product development.
You will work with our Quality Manager at location and be part of a Quality Assurance team located in 6 countries, and 7 locations. If not, all requirements are met for your experience, then we will ensure you are trained in it, by a very competent team and by external training organizations.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:

- Provides QA input and support to BAs in hardware and software projects, often as a trusted advisor.
- Ensure customer quality requirements are identified early (by participation in proposal and contract reviews) and documented and implemented in the project via the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and flowed down to suppliers.
- Ensure internal/external project execution, i.a.w. our QMS by performing internal and external audits.
- Manage Customer Complaints efficiently to maintain Terma’s high customer satisfaction level.
- Participate in project milestone meetings to ensure milestone checklist compliance.
- Perform Buy-off, verifying that deliverables are of the right quality.
- Manage Concessions (Deviations & Waivers) and delegations from customers (GQAR, DCMA)
- Management of Compliance evaluation concerning MIL and NATO quality standards and potentially SW standards like AQAP-2210.
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- You have knowledge of software engineering and software development processes. This enables you to understand quality issues related to software development and software releases.
- You are able to drive and lead change in line with the SCQM and Terma strategy. You can set clear objectives and create commitment among stakeholders.
- You communicate clearly and build trustful relationships across the organization. You are comfortable engaging stakeholders at different levels.
- You have system-level understanding of how mechanical, hardware and software components interact.
- You have experience conducting well-documented projects and process audits.
- Additional qualifications within quality management, auditing, continuous improvement, Lean or Six Sigma are considered an advantage.

You take a fact-based approach to your work, enabling you to make sound decisions without getting caught up in unnecessary details.
