Our Team
We in Cimpress Technology’s Fulfillment team are building Comet, the next-generation manufacturing platform that will power billions of dollars in annual revenue across our global manufacturing network and key to our strategy for unlocking manufacturing and supply chain excellence. We’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help accelerate the building and deployment of Comet, the system powering our scale-up at our newest manufacturing site in Ciudad Juárez.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the senior engineering representative for the Fulfillment Engineering organization at the Ciudad Juárez manufacturing site.
- Develop a broad understanding of the Comet platform and manufacturing operations to effectively connect operational challenges with the right technical solutions.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Product, TPM, Support, and software engineering teams to investigate complex production issues and drive durable platform improvements.
- Translate operational insights into engineering and product direction, ensuring the broader development organization continuously improves Comet based on real-world manufacturing experience.
- Strengthen collaboration across manufacturing and engineering organizations while providing technical leadership, sound judgment, and mentorship.
- Availability to travel frequently to and work on-site in Ciudad Juárez (starting around 50% and evolving to vary from 25-40% in steady-state).

- Proven technical leadership designing, building, and operating complex distributed software systems in the cloud (AWS preferred) using languages like TypeScript and Java with React
- Strong systems thinking, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Experience collaborating effectively across engineering, product, TPM, support, and operational organizations.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build trusted relationships in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Passion for solving complex technical problems and improving operational excellence at scale.
