THE ROLE:
The 3PL Account Manager will be responsible for driving AutoStore’s growth within the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) channel a strategic lever in accelerating AutoStore’s growth ambitions.
This role is centred on managing and developing a portfolio of high-potential 3PL accounts based on the AutoStore strategy, deepening long-term consultative partnerships, and capturing share from competing technologies through a targeted, go-to-market approach.
The candidate will have a strong track record in sales and account management, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or warehouse automation. Outstanding communication and organizational skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from warehouse operations to C-suite leadership.
This role requires a highly proactive, strategic thinker who can engage senior decision-makers within global and regional 3PLs, navigate complex partner-led RFP cycles, and convert opportunities into long-term value for AutoStore, the 3PL partner, and their end customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The 3PL Account Manager will contribute to business success through four core focus areas:
Account Management & Strategic Partnerships
Segment-Specific Sales and Advisory
Pipeline Development and Expansion
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Leadership
These areas are integrated in the day-to-day work and are geared toward growing AutoStore’s footprint within assigned 3PL accounts:
Serve as the primary point of contact for 3PL accounts spanning the Strategic & Enterprise, Mid-Market, and Breadth segments.
Drive AutoStore’s strategic initiatives through the 3PL accounts in EMEA, translating regional priorities into committed sites and measurable pipeline growth.
Build and deepen long-term, consultative relationships with key stakeholders from warehouse operations and solution design to executive leadership within each 3PL.
Work in close collaboration and coordination with the World Wide Sales (WWS) organisation, build and lead a cross-functional 3PL account team spanning Management, Solutions, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to deliver a joined-up partner experience.
Develop and execute joint growth plans and detailed account plans with committed-site targets, revenue goals, expansion strategies, and risk mitigation.
Position AutoStore competitively against competitive technologies using segment-specific value propositions and “winning solutions” for priority verticals.
Engage 3PL end customers early and proactively pre-RFP and accelerate RFP conversion.
Driving the successful onboarding and operational integration of new 3PL accounts.
Establish and maintain a structured engagement cadence with each 3PL, including:
Regular pipeline and forecast calls to review and advance active opportunities
Regular product and innovation updates
Regular workshops with the 3PL management and solutions teams
Regular top-to-top executive meetings
Regular reference-site visits
Voice-of-the-Customer and Customer Advisory Board participation
Invitations to AutoStore events and tradeshows
Presence at the 3PLs main industry conferences
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the 3PL market, competitive landscape, customer verticals, and regional dynamics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; an advanced degree is a plus.
At least five years of experience in enterprise sales, key account management, or strategic business development — ideally within 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse automation.
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow complex, multi-stakeholder 3PL or enterprise relationships with measurable outcomes (pipeline growth, committed sites, partnership expansion).
Working knowledge of warehouse automation technologies and the competitive landscape.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving ability, including comfort navigating partner-led RFP processes and evolving commercial models.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German; additional language skills are a plus.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed environment with shifting priorities and complex customer needs.
Proven ability to collaborate across functions and operate with a team-oriented mindset.
Location: This role can be based in Graz, Ulm or remote in Austria or Germany
