Help Shape How OCHIN Makes Business Decisions

Most analyst roles focus on reporting. This role is about influencing decisions.


OCHIN is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Financial Operations Analyst to help senior leaders understand business performance, operational efficiency, workforce utilization, and growth opportunities.


This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO with a close working partnership with the Chief Operating Officer. You'll work at the intersection of finance, operations, workforce planning, and analytics—transforming data into insights that help shape strategic decisions across a growing healthcare technology organization.

Although OCHIN is a remote-first organization, this role is intentionally based in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area to support close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer. Success in this position requires frequent collaboration, relationship building, and engagement with operational leadership. Periodic travel will be required.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the CFO, COO, and other senior leaders to provide data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Analyze operational and financial performance across the organization
  • Develop dashboards, reports, forecasts, and scenario models that support executive decision-making
  • Evaluate business line performance, operational efficiency, profitability, and cost-to-serve metrics
  • Support workforce planning through capacity, utilization, productivity, staffing, and timesheet analyses
  • Assess operational metrics such as time-per-member, time-per-install, and other measures that inform resource planning and efficiency
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve performance and scalability
  • Partner closely with the Data & Analytics team to enhance reporting, forecasting, and operational insights
  • Help establish and evolve key metrics, reporting frameworks, and operational analytics capabilities

Requirements

Qualifications


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Analytics, Economics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Experience in financial analysis, operational analytics, business analytics, workforce planning, or a related discipline
  • Strong forecasting, financial modeling, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable business insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred

  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, Economics, Data Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare, SaaS, consulting, or other service-based environments
  • SQL experience
  • Experience with workforce planning, capacity planning, or operational performance measurement
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, ticketing, and timekeeping systems
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar financial platforms
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and HIPAA requirements

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations, and teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN’s business requirements for go-live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Compensation

At OCHIN, we're committed to pay transparency.

Salary Range: $85,697 – $137,116 annually 

OCHIN uses broad salary ranges designed to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. Final compensation is determined based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data.


Our Hiring Process

Candidates advancing in the process will complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment designed to help us understand strengths, preferences, and work styles in relation to OCHIN's core competencies. There is no pass or fail outcome—it's one of several tools we use to support strong hiring decisions and long-term success.
