Job Role: Marketing Manager 

Compensation range: $2,500 AUD  Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9:00AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

The client is a design-led architecture studio specialising in innovative learning environments and community spaces across Australia. They are known for their research-based, human-centred approach to architecture, focusing on how design influences learning, wellbeing, and community engagement.

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to lead their marketing initiatives and strengthen our brand presence across Australia.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, creating compelling content, managing our digital presence, supporting business development activities, and ensuring our brand is consistently represented across all channels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategy, creativity, and execution in a collaborative architectural environment.

What you’ll be doing:
Develop and execute marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.

  • Manage and grow our social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, and X.
  • Create engaging marketing content, including project profiles, case studies, newsletters, website copy, email campaigns, and thought leadership articles.
  • Manage and update the company website, ensuring content is optimized for SEO and AI search.
  • Design and maintain marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs), tender submissions, capability statements, presentations, and other business development materials.
  • Monitor marketing performance, analyze campaign results, and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate award submissions, media releases, and industry engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.


Key Responsibilities: 

Marketing & Digital Strategy

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and generate business opportunities.
  • Create, schedule, and manage social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and Bluesky using Hootsuite.
  • Monitor social media performance and prepare monthly analytics reports.
  • Manage paid social media campaigns when required.

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Write engaging, brand-aligned content including:
    • Website copy
    • Project profiles
    • Case studies
    • Capability statements
    • Company newsletters
    • Email marketing campaigns
    • Award submissions
    • Tender content
    • Team CVs
  • Produce content that highlights the company's expertise, projects, and achievements.

Graphic Design & Brand Management

  • Design and update marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Prepare brochures, presentations, project sheets, and capability statements.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Manage image libraries and project photography.

Website Management

  • Keep the company website updated with new projects, staff profiles, news, and awards.
  • Improve website performance through SEO and AI Optimisation (AIO).
  • Coordinate website updates and recommend improvements.

Business Development Support

  • Assist with the preparation of:
    • Expressions of Interest (EOIs)
    • Tender submissions
    • Fee proposals
    • Capability statements
    • Client presentations and reports
  • Maintain an organised library of company documents, project information, and marketing resources.

Marketing Analytics

  • Monitor and report on:
    • Website traffic
    • SEO & AIO performance
    • Social media engagement
    • Email marketing results
    • Marketing ROI
  • Recommend improvements to increase digital performance and lead generation.

Public Relations

  • Coordinate industry award submissions.
  • Prepare media releases and company announcements.
  • Identify opportunities for industry publications and media exposure.
  • Support marketing activities for conferences and industry events.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with general office administration.
  • Maintain company records and documentation.
  • Provide support to the leadership team as required.

Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a marketing role.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience managing websites using Squarespace or similar CMS platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to work.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience preparing EOIs, tenders, and proposal documents.
  • Knowledge of SEO, AI optimization (AIO), and marketing analytics.
  • Experience within architecture, construction, engineering, or professional services.

Performance Reviews

  • Yearly
  • Report to: Leader: Senior Executive Assistant (and Managing Director); Team: Office support

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
