Description

HALO is seeking a Leader of Communications to build and lead a more intentional, enterprise-wide communications function that strengthens alignment, clarity, and execution across the organization. This role is responsible for shaping how key messages are developed, prioritized, and delivered across leadership communications, internal communications, organizational updates, and strategic initiatives.

This leader will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Marketing, HR / Workforce & Performance, and functional leaders to ensure communication is clear, timely, audience-aware, and aligned to HALO’s business priorities and brand. The role is both strategic and hands-on: setting the communications direction and operating model while also helping drive high-impact messaging for important moments across the company.

The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, executive presence, excellent writing and storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex priorities into simple, compelling, and actionable communication. This person should also be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, influencing across functions, and building repeatable systems that improve communication quality and consistency at scale.

What you will do

Enterprise communications strategy

  • Develop and lead HALO’s internal and leadership communications strategy, ensuring communication priorities support business goals, organizational alignment, and change adoption.
  • Create communication frameworks, standards, and rhythms that improve consistency, quality, and effectiveness across the enterprise.
  • Help define how and when key company messages are delivered across leadership forums, organization updates, transformation efforts, and major business milestones.
  • Establish a practical communications operating model that improves planning, decision-making, and execution across stakeholders.

Executive communications and leadership support

  • Partner directly with executive leaders to shape and draft high-impact communications, including leadership messages, organization announcements, town halls, presentations, and strategic updates.
  • Translate business priorities into clear messaging, narratives, and supporting materials for internal audiences.
  • Prepare leaders for key communication moments by organizing messages, sequencing updates, and ensuring consistency across channels and stakeholders.
  • Support sensitive and high-visibility communications with strong judgment, discretion, and audience awareness.

Organizational and change communications

  • Lead communication planning for organizational changes, leadership transitions, business updates, and transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with HR / Workforce & Performance and business leaders to draft and coordinate employee-facing and leader-facing communications that are clear, thoughtful, and well executed.
  • Ensure communication plans consider timing, stakeholder alignment, manager readiness, and downstream employee experience.
  • Bring structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous situations, helping leaders communicate change with confidence and consistency.

Content, messaging, and storytelling

  • Develop messaging frameworks, talking points, presentation narratives, FAQs, and communication assets that help leaders and teams communicate effectively.
  • Ensure messages are aligned to HALO’s brand, voice, and strategic direction.
  • Translate complex business topics into concise, compelling, and audience-appropriate content.
  • Raise the overall standard of communication quality across the organization through strong editing, coaching, and message discipline.

Cross-functional partnership and communications enablement

  • Serve as a central communications partner across Marketing, HR / Workforce & Performance, Executive Leadership, and key business functions.
  • Build strong working relationships across teams to gather inputs, align messaging, clarify ownership, and improve communication flow.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce noise, simplify communication processes, and create scalable templates, tools, and best practices.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and efficient workflows to improve content development, communication planning, and consistency where appropriate.
Requirements

  • Strong business judgment and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders and functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure, prioritization, and execution discipline to ambiguous or fast-moving work.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
