We are now strengthening our Nordic EHS capability and are looking for a Corporate EHS Specialist based in Sweden to play a key role in driving safety performance across the region.

This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone with strong technical foundations, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate independently.

  • Drive implementation of Solenis EHS standards, programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as a trusted advisor on safety, compliance, and risk management

Operational & Customer Site Safety

  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Support safe execution of customer-facing activities and field operations

Training & Culture

  • Deliver practical EHS training and coaching
  • Promote a strong safety culture across field teams
  • Ensure clear understanding of chemical safety, SDS, and hazard identification

Your Profile

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Safety Engineering
  • Relevant EHS certification aligned to Swedish requirements (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in EHS within industrial, manufacturing, or chemical environments
  • Fluent Swedish and English (mandatory)

Core Capabilities

  • Strong technical understanding of EHS fundamentals (non-negotiable)
  • Experience with safety programmes (LOTO, confined space, hot work, ergonomics, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of Swedish/Nordic EHS regulations
  • Ability to analyse risks, connect concepts, and act decisively
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Personal Attributes

  • High ownership and accountability
  • Structured, reliable, and practical in approach
  • Confident communicator across different stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, field-based role while collaborating effectively across teams

Key Requirements

  • Based in Sweden, preferably in the Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Malmö, or Stockholm regions
  • Candidates from other locations at a similar latitude will also be considered, provided they have convenient access to an international airport and rental car facilities
  • Located within reasonable distance to an international airport
  • Valid driving licence recognised in Sweden (mandatory)
  • Willing to travel 20–30% across the Nordics

Why Join Solenis
