Job description

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting and controls for a UK-based business. Fully remote from South Africa, you'll produce accurate financial statements, lead audit preparation, and ensure robust financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP or IFRS
Lead the year-end close and coordinate with external auditors
Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
Support the CFO with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting

What You'll Need

ACCA, CIMA, or CA(SA) qualification
5+ years of financial accounting experience, ideally in a UK-facing role
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS reporting standards
Advanced Excel and experience with accounting systems such as Xero, NetSuite, or Sage
Reliable fibre internet and a professional home workspace

What's on Offer

Salary: R33,000 per month
Full-time, permanent remote position
Working hours: 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)
