The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Front-End Developer to join our engineering team. Standing at the intersection of modern web technologies and complex scientific data, you will be responsible for building intuitive, high-performance visual interfaces that help geneticists and researchers make critical clinical decisions. You will bridge the gap between complex UI designs and robust technical implementation, ensuring our platforms remain world-class in speed, responsiveness, and data visualization.

We thrive in a high-pressure, high-performance environment where clinical precision and rapid growth meet. While our pace is fast, it is always directed by rigorous organization and clear processes, ensuring that our commitment to quality is never compromised by our drive for speed.

Role Responsibilities

  • UI Implementation: Build or translate UI designs to actual code that will produce visual elements of our applications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with backend developers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
  • Product Ownership: Take an active role on both sides and define how the application looks as well as how it works.
  • Scientific Data Presentation: Understand how best to present the scientific data available. In practice, we use many sophisticated charts & interactive graphic components.

The Ideal Candidate (Profile)

The ideal candidate combines professional experience in designing and developing full stack web applications with a strong understanding of software development principles. You should possess an eye for detail in implementing UI designs and a genuine interest to apply your technical skills within the cutting-edge genetics industry.

What you will bring:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant technology-related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in similar roles, with hands-on experience in designing and developing full stack web applications.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proven knowledge and experience in React JS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS/SCSS, Git/Gitflow, and Unit Testing.
  • Development Principles: A good understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
  • Languages: Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Strongly Valued

  • Growth Mindset: An interest to learn about genetics and become part of a growing new industry (prior knowledge is not required, we will provide all the training needed).
  • Build Tools: Prior knowledge or experience with Webpack will be considered a plus.

Mindset & Key Skills

  • Technical Rigor: A structured thinker focused on software development principles, design patterns, and writing reliable code through unit testing.
  • Visual Ownership: An active professional ready to take responsibility for both sides of the development, defining exactly how the application looks as well as how it works.
