Remote Position: Freelance English to Korean Game Localization Specialist

Responsibilities

• Translate in-game text, UI, dialogue, marketing materials, and documentation from English to Korean/Japanese while preserving creative intent and cultural nuances.
• Ensure translations meet industry standards and maintain consistency with game terminology.
• Collaborate with localization teams, developers, and QA testers to refine translations.
• Adapt humor, idioms, and culturally specific references for target audiences.
• Review and edit translations for accuracy, fluency, and style

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Korean and fluent in English.
• 2+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in gaming or entertainment.
• Deep understanding of gaming culture, slang, and terminology in both source and target languages.
• Familiarity with localization tools (e.g., CAT tools like Phrase, memoQ) is a plus.
• Passion for video games (mention specific genres/titles if relevant).
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• The one who has Knowledge of RPG, FPS, or mobile game genres or previous work experience with major game publishers or developers is preferred.
