Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, modernization, and implementation of enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will define the organization's data strategy, architect scalable data solutions, and drive complex data migration initiatives while ensuring high standards of data quality, governance, security, and performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep expertise in SQL, and the ability to design modern data architectures that support business intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the enterprise data strategy aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end data migration initiatives, including legacy system modernization, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures for transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Develop logical and physical data models that support enterprise applications and reporting needs.
  • Perform detailed analysis of existing data ecosystems and recommend modernization strategies to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Architect data integration solutions using ETL/ELT frameworks and modern data pipelines.
  • Optimize and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database performance across large-scale environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and data engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Establish data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data quality standards.
  • Support cloud and hybrid data platform modernization initiatives.
  • Review technical designs and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to project teams.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Data Management.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale data migration and modernization projects.
  • Strong expertise in SQL with hands-on experience in query optimization, database design, and performance tuning.
  • Extensive experience in designing enterprise data architectures and data models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience performing system and data analysis.
  • Experience developing enterprise data strategy and roadmap initiatives.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data warehouse modernization and lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Relevant cloud or data architecture certifications are a plus.
