Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Accountant to support our Philippine operations on an independent consulting basis. This role is ideal for a finance professional with hands-on accounting experience who can independently manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain compliance, and ensure accurate financial reporting within agreed timelines.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and capable of handling routine accounting operations with accuracy and accountability. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Prepare and process payroll, including monitoring timesheets and payroll-related documentation
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of balances
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
  • Handle tax compliance, statutory filings, and government remittances
  • Support audit requirements, documentation requests, and regulatory submissions
  • Coordinate with banks, suppliers, government agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of accounting deliverables
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and accounting records

Experience Requirements

  • 2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Hands-on experience in payroll processing, taxation, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
  • Exposure to Philippine tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines with high accuracy and accountability
  • Strong structured English communication skills

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting processes
  • Knowledge of Philippine government remittances and compliance requirements
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and accounting documentation
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems is an advantage

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Accountability and ownership of deliverables
  • Good communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage routine but critical accounting tasks consistently and accurately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field
  • Experience supporting Philippine entity operations
  • Exposure to audit preparation and compliance reporting
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems is an advantage
