Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to provide day-to-day operational support to property managers, owners, and residents. The ideal candidate has strong property management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage tenant relations, leasing, maintenance coordination, and financial tasks in a fast-paced remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

Tenant & Resident Relations

  • Respond to tenant and owner inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Handle leasing inquiries, conduct tenant screenings, and assist with move-ins and move-outs.

  • Prepare and issue notices (lease renewals, delinquency notices, violations, etc.).

  • Support tenant retention efforts and maintain positive resident relationships.

Leasing & Lease Administration

  • Assist in advertising and marketing vacant properties.

  • Prepare and review lease agreements for accuracy and compliance.

  • Coordinate lease renewals, amendments, and terminations.

  • Assist with eviction processes in compliance with landlord-tenant laws.

Maintenance Coordination

  • Create, assign, and track work orders in property management software.

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and residents for maintenance scheduling.

  • Follow up on open requests and ensure timely resolution.

  • Review and approve vendor invoices for accuracy before submission.

Financial & Administrative Support

  • Assist in rent collection and track delinquencies.

  • Maintain rent ledgers, process payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Support budgeting, reporting, and financial record-keeping.

  • Generate reports for property managers and owners as needed.


Property Management Operations

  • Ensure compliance with fair housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and company policies.

  • Maintain accurate records of tenant files, leases, and property documents.

  • Collaborate with property managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.


Qualifications & Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of property management experience in residential, multifamily, or HOA.

  • Proficiency with property management software (AppFolio preferred; Buildium, Yardi, or similar tools acceptable).

  • Strong knowledge of leasing, move-out coordination, lease renewals, and evictions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Familiarity with landlord-tenant laws and fair housing policies.

  • Experience handling U.S.-based property management clients.

  • Background in accounting support (rent ledgers, AP/AR).

  • Previous experience in vendor management and contract review.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be currently residing in the Philippines or Latin America.

  • Must have a stable internet connection and a remote-ready workstation.
